Discover Freedom

Built in 2003 on a Provin design (An 2000 model) by an enlightened amateur at a shipyard, VAYU combines exceptional solidity, onboard comfort, and ease of maintenance.

It is designed for long-distance cruising and offshore autonomy, ideal for a family with young children or for polar exploration.

Sailing on VAYU means enjoying spacious interiors, a generous galley, a convivial saloon, and a rare level of livability for a monohull under 50 feet.

After crossing the Atlantic and the Pacific, she is now based in French Polynesia, flying the French flag (papeetised), ready to set sail again.

VAYU's Highlights

History & Spirit of the Journey

Built by its first owner, VAYU has already proven its seaworthy qualities by completing two Atlantic crossings and numerous cruises in Europe until 2018. We acquired it that same year to realize our family long-distance cruising project (2 adults and 2 children).

After two years of preparation in Brittany, we set sail in 2021.

Since then, VAYU has safely and comfortably taken us to exceptional destinations: the Canary Islands, Cape Verde, the West Indies, Colombia, and the Panama Canal, before reaching Polynesia in 2023.

Enamored with this region, we chose to "papeetise" the boat in 2025, an important step to continue enjoying sailing in Polynesia without time limits.

After more than six years aboard VAYU, we have always appreciated its reliability, comfort, and ability to accommodate a family for a long journey.

The only reason we are selling it today is because our children have grown up and our life plans are evolving. VAYU is therefore ready to write a new story with its next owners, whether for a major crossing, a polar exploration, or a beautiful cruising life in the Pacific.
